The Windows Databank Check Utility DBCW is a wrapper for the command line based databank check utility DBC. This is a program that is run to validate the physical integrity of a databank file. DBCW takes one or several databank files as input an runs the DBC utility on each. The output is shown in a child window.

In addition to the detailed output in each windows, the outcome of the check is indicated by icons showing whether an error was found or not.

	Check was ok. No errors found.
	Check completed with warnings. The output window has more information.
