Entering a New License Key

Your Mimer SQL license controls various aspects of your Mimer SQL software and is obtained from your Mimer distributor. The parameter settings for your license are coded into the key which must be specified after you have installed your Mimer software and before you can use the software. Typically the Mimer SQL system is distributed with a default key.

All licenses are server based, i.e. the clients do not need to have any license key. Each time a Mimer module is started, the license is checked on the server to make sure the application is permitted to run. If you buy additional modules, or have certain system limits altered, you will be issued with a new license key.

It is possible to have several license keys. The effect of several keys are cumulative.

The Mimer Administrator allows you to enter the new key to enable additional modules or to set new limits.
