This is the service to use when communicating with the remote database. This may be left blank to get the default, or one of the following may be selected:

• 1360
• mimer

For TCP/IP, the service corresponds to the port number. Mimer SQL has a registered port number of 1360. For NamedPipes, the service is the name that is used for the named pipe.

Generally, it is appropriate to accept the default value for this parameter.
